Small Raspberry Pi 2 Arcade - Ignition Interface - WORK IN PROGRESS

Here are some quick pics of a mini arcade I am making powered by a Raspberry P1 2 and the Ignition software. The cabinet is a arcadie for iPad Mini hacked up. I will post more information soon.

This is the second mini arcade I have built and the Raspberry Pi 2 is the perfect platform. Retro Arch is the perfect platform. For this build I have chosen the new Kickstarted Ignition software built on top of Retro Arch. It is essentially XBOX Live for Retro Gaming with online multiplayer and achievements added to the old roms.

I have added a 5.3" car reversing screen with good old hot glue.

The original arcadie controls modified for the Pi 2 GPIO input.

Top of  controls - I will need to re-skin the whole cab I think.

  1. How are you setting up the GPIO on the pi 2? I am building one as well and would like to take advantage of the pi's gpio header. Can you explain or give me any direction to a tutorial possibly? thanks

  4. Hey mate! Do you still check this blog? I'm wanting to do a similar build to this but am pretty un-knowledgable about a lot of the ins and outs and so would love someone to bounce things off of!
